Hospital door hanger

Alrighty folks...so this is my first post in my craft blog =) I created this blog to share my crafting projects with yall.I'm going to try my best to post once a day,I hope that maybe in some way I can be an inspiration to someone.Comments are welcome, wether it may be critiqueing me,or just simply saying good job! You can always learn something new no matter how long you've been crafting.I along with my mother own a baby/children's boutique,so I won't only be posting my scrapbooking layouts and paper crafting, but also clothing, and painted canvas' and picture frames.I just love being creative!! The picture I am posting today,is of a hospital door hanger that I made for my littlest princess,I made it to match her room,so that we could get further use out of it.My dad made a wooden frame and stretched the canvas over it for me,it is wonderful to have a crafty dad, saves me alot of money. Then I painted the canvas the same color as her room, and I painted black polka dots on it,and embellished the polka's with cutsie rhinestones (gotta bling it up sister) LOL.I then cut a piece of fabric out of the fabric we made her curtains with and applied it to the middle portion with elmers spray glue.I heavily sprayed it down to make it stick, then I trimmed the edges in ric rac. Then we used a staple gun ( I would only recommend the staple gun if you are using a thick wooden letter)otherwise we would use just a stapler. Then we covered the back of our canvas, and I added my adorable bow to the front.I was so pleased with how this turned out,and have had many orders to make more of them.Sooo many people at the hospital wanted to know were we got it from.I just love making things for my girlies.
